Want more color in your breakfast? Graphic designer Neil Caldwells bacon comes in every hue of the rainbow, making it a close second to Fruit Loops for anyone who thinks breakfast is boring.

BaconToday.com describes the porky strips as “pure genius … real, genuine colored bacon.”

The bacon comes in six different colors and retains its shade even after cooking.

The bacon-loving designer won’t tell how he turns the strips into such vividly shaded colors, but LA Weekly guesses that the process requires generous amounts of FD&C food dyes like Blue No. 1, Red No. 40 and Yellow No. 5.

Sadly, the succulent strips are just to be eyed, not eaten. They’re not sold in stores.

“It was just kind of a joke that’s gotten a lot of attention,” says Rocco Loosbrock, owner and editor of BaconToday. “Neil submitted this to us, and we put out his photos on our Web site. It’s gotten a lot of attention, and a million page views. It’s unique and fun.”

Though you can’t purchase the pork, there’s a chance you might be able to duplicate it yourself someday.

“We’ll keep on the case, though, and see if we can’t get you a recipe for this colorful concoction,” promises Bacon Today.

Get your green eggs ready and stay tuned.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
