as evidenced by what? I don't think robinson's a bad player but I always thought he was overrated.

by his play on the field (completely subjective, I realize).

I don't dislike Gamble, I just think he also has been overrated by our fanbase. He is a very good player, don't get me wrong.

Funny, I think our fanbase trashes him constantly for no reason. Robinson was held so highly because he was the only decent corner in FA this year. I've never seen anything out of him that made me think he was special at all. He doesn't get turnovers, he's got more tackles than gamble despite being worse in run support and fewer passes defensed.

outsiders has him rated lower than captain munnerlyn lol.

oh AND Ken Lucas.

Robinson's play imo gets overlooked but most of the best corner play has been in the AFC. He was the only decent FA corner but once he lands in the NFC I expect him to get more recognition.

Stats for corners imo are pointless to talk about - good or bad stats doesn't = good or bad player at that position imo. In the fantasy world of today players are rated by stats......A lot of corners have decent stats and that can be b/c opponents target them often. Doesn't make them good corners.

i agree with you about stats but Robinson has more tackles than gamble despite being used in run support less. That means he's being targeted more and still isn't putting up the numbers. Corner stats are misleading but at the end of the day we have to judge them on something.

Eh...Both Gamble AND D. Robinson are a bit overrated...

I would put Gamble over D.Robinson mostly because of Gamble being able to stay healthy and perform at a good level. I think people are worried that Dunta's injuries are taking a toll on him.

But Dunta in his prime > Gamble in his prime

not sure about that one.....

the one site I would like to find is a legit source that displays how many times CBs are thrown at.

Gamble is not at the elite tier of corners in the league, but he's right under it. He always does a good job containing opposing receivers and we very rarely see him get burned. He does a great job for our defense and we'd be focked without him.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
