Going to the season opener in New York

Has anyone ever been to the new stadium? I'm flying up to see a friend and the only tickets online are like $250. Thinking about taking my chances and scalping some. I know if it was the here in Charlotte that would be no problem at all. Anyone ever do it in NY?

I was and have been to the Meadowlands. Last season when we were there the new stadium was done but not open. Saw the Jets play the Panthers. That all being sad........ there is no way you are getting a ticket outside that stadium, at the home opener in the brand new stadium. If you try good luck. If anything I would keep scanning the different websites for a decent deal if you were able to find one.

I scalped tickets to game 6 of the Lakers vs Boston series for the NBA Finals. The tickets started at $1,000 for 2 people but by the end of it we had enough scalpers around the price fell to $360.

Football and the Giants is different though.

i will be there it will be a sick time because lets face it, no matter where i am it is always a sick time. i was just in the stadium on sunday, my dad is a jets season ticket holder and they give season ticket holders a tour of the stadium. it is a real nice stadium. you will definitly be able to scalp, but it will be pricey since its the first game in the stadium.

So, you are going all the way to New York, spend all that money, just to see the Panthers get drubbed 41-10. And then on top of all that you have to here all those Giants Fans tell you how much we suck, and get your ass back to Carolina. Hummmmm let me thank about it.

I live in New York, and my father-in-law and his sister have season tickets for the Giants. They usually give me the tickets when the Panthers are in town, but they both told me that they aren't giving up this home opener. I reckon I'll just watch on TV.

    • Of course it's a crapshoot to find a truly elite QB. But we don't even need that to be competitive or successful. Our two best long term starters in 3 decades of existence were both flawed yet productive passers and each led us to a Super Bowl. Hell Jake Delhomme in the year where his arm went off a cliff and we had to start Matt Moore for a couple spells we had a superior passing offense than anything we've seen under Bryce Young the last 3 years. We're still trying to crack the top 25. All I'm saying is this is not the 2023 Panthers by any means. The cupboards are not bare. We are not working with scraps. We have invested through the nose to build up the roster and the trenches on both sides of the ball. We've also added multiple first and second day pass catchers in the draft. If a QB can't succeed here they are cooked.
    • That last line is the key. Passing game lives or dies off the running game. I struggle to see any help the passing has provided in return - there is no pass to op n up the run to speak of.  Add in that we have downgraded the run blocking at left tackle according to analysts, and I really don’t know what to expect from C….  It puts more load on th passing game to help out
