What are the chances we resign Moose and Hoover??

I was thinking I think i remember in the past where players would resign one game deals so they could "retire " as players instead of being cut.. Am I right or I'm I thinking about something else?? And if I'm right what do you think the chances are that the panthers resign moose and/ or Hoover for this reason???

eh haven't thought of that actually, interesting thread. For some reason I tend to think this time is different. Would be nice for some leadership, but the realist in me has a feeling that the younger guys would win their jobs as a better athlete and player. The young team that we have needs some experience if the team wants to have success throughout the decade.

As for the fan in me, I could never argue against some more Moooooooooooose and Hooooooooooov. ;)

Well I wasn't really talking about real playing roles or actually being on the team (not that aganist the idea) more or less I was talking about them being on the team for one game and having a special ceremony so they can retire as panthers... I know I've seen teams in the past do this.

Most players that resign for a day do it because they went to another team for a while, and they want to come back and retire as a member of their most memorable team. Neither Moose nor Hoov have that problem. Wouldn't they both retire as panthers right now? Assuming of course they are not signed by anyone else?

i don't see the point. moose retired already, as a panther... and hoov is probably still pissed off at the way they did him anyway. he definitely still had one good year left in him.
well, he would have had part of a year. the dudes body was breaking down after taking so much of a beating for years. he was becoming pretty unreliable just for that. it's better to just get the young guy(s) some experience since you are going to have to rely on him(them) in the future. best way for them to know what to do is to get out there and do it.
