If Connor plays good really well...

lol. some people are serious about the 3-4

You really can't help but think the only way a guy like Everette Brown would be effective is as a 3-4 OLB, like what they're doing with Maybin in Buffalo. Obviously we have nowhere near the bodies capable enough to play a D-Line in the 3-4 so that puts it out of the question.

As for Connor moving to the middle full time, seriously, do you honestly think Connor will perform better at the Mike than what Beason did?

he probably won't perform better but he could perform well enough where we are better off with him at MLB and Beason at WLB assuming Davis doesn't come back.

No I don't think he will. Beason is the better MLB. But depending on what they do with Davis next year keeping Beason on the outside may be easier than looking for another OLB to replace Davis. Especially if both Beason and Connor play well at these positions.

Moving to a 3-4 makes NO sense. As far as Dan Connor playing the middle i think he can handle it. I also think E. Brown will be fine in a 4-3. Especially with Ron Meeks coaching him. Think about how successful Ron was with other undersized DE's like Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. Telling you now as much as i love Thomas Davis if we draft maybe Bruce Carter with our first next year we will have NADA to worry about with our LINEBACKER CORP.

WLB- Bruce Smith MLB- Dan Connor SLB- Beason

Come on, that group could be the best 4-3 group in the league.

You guys are forgetting Norwood. What we need is a 2-5 defense, with Beason in the middle, flanked by Norwood and Connor, with Anderson and Davis on the edges.

With Cowher coaching that, 16-0 easy.

Well we all know Cowher coaches good really well........

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
