So you're saying another 6 years before we sniff the playoffs?

Even I'm not that down.

Well, 97 was our real wake-up-to-the-NFL call. Collins quit, Kevin Green went to SF for MONEY of all things, we came back down to earth, and things kind of sucked for a while. I think we've all grown up a little since then.

It's not like 03, where our O-Line was old and so was our star back. Or 05, when we had to depend on Deshaun Foster and still didn't have a number two WR. This time our offensive talent is young and solid, and we have some good youth and leadership on defense as well.

I'm in Dallas right now where they're still reeling from the whupping that the Eagles laid on them at the end of the season. Things could be a TON worse for the Panthers.

kerry didn't quit in 97, that was 98. he had his jaw broken in the preseason by romonowski. kevin green went to SF not for money, but because they'd allow him to wrestle in the wcw. I'm not kidding.

This has to be the most fuging ridiculous thread I have ever read. the Doom and Gloom that comes from our fans and people on this board after a loss amazes me.

We got the crap kicked out of us...it happened. Jake played terrible. And yes, the defensive gameplan for this game was poor.

But, we were 12-4 with the 2nd best record in the ENTIRE NFL.

Get past it.

Yep, true, and if you youtube it you can find some of his old matches there. He even came out to the fight song, believe it or not.

We have a defensive head coach yet we can't find a defensive scheme to stop Fitz.....

We played the same defense as we played in the first meeting where Warner torched us through the air.....and they made us pay for it even more this time.

Our best corner (Gamble) wasn't covering their best receiver (wtf????)......

Fox said before the game he was hoping Boldin would have played - Oh Brother!!!

Smith is great because makes all these "adjustments" to the ball in the air....why can't we hit him stride on a deep ball once in a while? Our QB doesnt have the arm to get it out in front.

Jake is a chucker.....He was chucking it up there hoping for the best the entire game. He has done it a lot this season and gotten away with it - thanks to Smitty.

How many people actually think we will get back to the playoffs with a first round bye again next year?.....Especially with the same cast of characters - maybe even minus Peppers? Gloom and Doom is here to stay and next year is going to be even more difficult.

Hows that second best record treating us now?

Record don't mean sh*t after a certain point, we knew the Titans were a product of their schedule, not a good team.

Don't read it if you don't like it.

Go play catch with Jake, just be prepared for most of his passes to go over your neighbors fence, and the rest will be picked off by anonymous people.

Similarly, this is the most fuging ridiculous point to hang yer hat on. Ask the Patriots how they felt losing the SB after going undefeated. 14-2 is nice and hopefully it's a good sign for next year, but in no way does it make losing to the Cardinals at home any easier.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
