Inside the Panther's schedule

Just some observations of matchups and when and where the games are at.

-4 out of the first 6 games are home.

-The bye week is after a home game and the game after is home. So that's 3 straight weeks the guys are at home. Great time to rest, heal some injuries.

-Two back to back road games.

The first is Cle and Seattle. The Sea game could be a tougher matchup due to the West Coast travel after a prior road game.

-End the season back to back road games.

Thrs night game, late Dec in Pitt and finish on the road at Atl. Tough games.

-EVERY NFC South game is 1pm.

-The Steelers game is the final of a 3 game homestand! By that time Big Ben is back and they could have some mo. Earlier in the year Pitt has 3 road games in a row. Odd quirk on both sides for them.

-We catch the Ravens on a short week of back to back road games(Atl)

-All other non conf home games we get teams after a previously tough matchup. San Fran plays Oak(local rival, not so much a tough team).

Chigaco plays Giants before us. Cincy plays the Ravens before us. Cards play Den.

-We play 4 top 6 Def's vs the run. Only one is on the road(Pitt).

-Only 3 teams in the top 10 vs the pass. Bal, Cincy and Tampa. 3 at home and 1 rd(TB).

-Chi,Ravens, Atl we get at home after they played a road game the week before.

-We get Ari and San Fran at home at 1 instead of 4. Jet Lag could be a factor.

Just a broad overview of the sked and of course that's based on last years results. I haven't really crunched any other #'s and data but I will later.

Just some random musings...

@ New York Giants - I swear this match-up was made on purpose just so the Giants can get revenge for the beat down we put on them for the last game in their old stadium. Very possible to get a shellacking like the opener last season with all the young players we have now...or we could start the season like 2008.

Tampa Bay - The good thing is that Moore has played the Bucs last season and won despite not having Davis and D-Will and Moore having a mediocre day. Then again, Freeman's 5 picks was also a big factor.

Bengals - Definitely not the high-scoring team they once were. Seemed to lose ground late last season. The addition of TO may not matter; he didn't do much against us last season when he was a Bill (though we lost that game).

@ New Orleans - Comes down to whether that Super Bowl win gets them to slack off for this season. That, or we'll have to cross our fingers that the offense shows signs that they can put up 30+ points if needed. One possible positive is that they face the Falcons the week prior and division games can get rough.

Chicago - Expecting to hear a chorus of boos (aimed at Peppers). We had success against Cutler before so forcing the Bears to put the game in his hands would be a good idea.

BYE - Not a terrible spot this year but honestly, I would want it after the Rams game as it would give the team time to prepare against the Saints.

San Francisco - There is just something about West Coast teams flying east and losing that is a trend. Of course, we don't mind because this team could be dangerous offensively this season. Then again, if Vinny T. could beat the 49ers...

@ St. Louis - We've had their number for years ever since X-clown. Going up against a rookie QB doesn't hurt either. Their bye is after this game so they might be beat up.

New Orleans - Just like the Rams, their bye is after our game so they might be banged up a bit at this point. They also face the Steelers before us and it's very possible Big Ben will be starting by that point.

@ Tampa Bay - Back to back division games hurts us. Fortunately, it's the same story for the Bucs (@ Atlanta the week prior). If the Bucs has shown they are one of the bottom teams in the league, we should be okay.

Baltimore - By this time, we'll have a good idea of whether they are truly Super Bowl contenders this season. If they are, we're in big trouble especially since they are getting 10 days of rest. The slap in the face is that the reason for the 10 days is because of a Thursday night game against the Falcons which they could lose because of them only getting 4 days of rest for that game.

@ Cleveland - No guarantee that Jake will still be the starter at this point. If so, either he's on a short leash (good for us) or he's playing more like his old self (bad for us). Have a feeling this game will be very close.

@ Seattle - First back-to-back road trip. Fortunately, Eastern teams going west isn't the same as the other way around. Also, we play our best football in December.

Atlanta - 2nd consecutive road trip for the Falcons after playing the Bucs. Strange that we don't play them until December but that may not be so bad, especially if they are in the hunt for the division title.

Arizona - Again, the thing about West Coast teams flying East plays to our advantage. Also, they might be starting Derek Anderson by this point. Finally, the Cards having to play in the elements after three straight games at home.

@ Pittsburgh - They have beat our asses in the past and may happen again if Big Ben is playing well. Doesn't help that this would be their 3rd straight home game and we only get 4 days of rest but...

@ Atlanta - ...that means plenty of rest for the final game of the season while Atlanta loses one day of rest because they play the Saints on Monday night. Under the best scenario, this game would decide the division title between the Dirty Birds and us. Otherwise, this game won't matter at all.

TO owns the panthers... he will be much better with Carson Palmer at QB than Ryan Fitzpatrick! Not to mention Cedric Benson will be running it down our throats.

That game is a loss.

FACT CHECK: TO owns the Carolina Panthers

FACT: No. TO does not own the Carolina Panthers. TO owns a lot of things, mostly bagage, but has no stake in the Carolina Panthers. Jerry Richardson is the owner of the Carolina Panthers.

Is this the 3rd or 4th year in a row we have played the Giants. Its the 3rd year in a row we are going to play the Cardinals.

I'm cool with playing the Giants evey year but honestly this is the 3rd year in a row we have to play in NY? Seriously, wtf? I hope we crush em in their new stadium just like their old.

Took a look at how the schedule is done every year:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_season_%28NFL%29

For 2010, we have to play the NFC West; therefore, we have to play the Cardinals.

Also, because we were third in our division, we play all the NFC teams that finished 3rd in our conference; hence, why we play the Giants.

Correct. What they were saying tho is it's funny/odd how we have played those teams as often as we have.

When was the last time the Giants played HERE for a reg season game? That seems strange too.

    • It wasn’t completely his fault, but outside of two throws and one or two scrambles he didn’t do much to help. His accuracy was all over the place, numerous passes that were placed poorly and didn’t give the receiver a good chance to catch the ball or do anything with it after. He also continues to display terrible pocket awareness. Even the sacks could have been avoided, they weren’t immediate like the pressure we got on Shough at times. Bryce just often has no feel for pressure and stands there waiting to get sacked after numerous seconds have passed.
    • I really fuging hate this era in so many ways.  I look at those Adin Ross and Neon kids, and I just wonder why tf are they famous?  Why would anyone be desperate enough to gain THAT audience that they’d risk money, career, disciplinary action to go up there and associate with those fuging dweebs?  And back in my day, racist peers got their ass beat.  And not endorsing or approving bully culture, but checks and balances and all…  had those two been bullied, or at the very least humbled, they wouldn’t be famous and glorified for being the fuging idiots they are now.  It seriously pisses me off… they both have done and said multiple, openly racist stuff and major media keeps pushing them, talking about them, and propping them up… and then dummies like Puka who don’t need the platform or exposure lend their celebrity to them.  fuging idiot… and even the other streamers, I don’t get - Speed, Kai…  I don’t understand making nobodies famous at all, but there is at least entertainment value to some degree there, and I could see how young, impressionable kids would find them something to aspire to (sadly), or view as “cool.”  But Ross and Neon?  They’re just shitty, shitty nerds with big ass mouths. I’ve went back recently and watched some classics (in two very different eras and categories 😂)  like Robocop and Idiocracy.  And what I find fascinating is how both movies illustrate how stupid society became by showing what the citizenry is entertained by.  In both, society became anti-intellectual and the citizenry were entertained by lowest denominator, primal-type absurdity - poo like, “Ouch! My Balls!”  Or on Robocop, a guy is a watching a show where they are smashing cakes on ladies’ breasts and then a guy says a line as the camera zooms in like, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” and the audience thinks it’s hilarious.  That’s where I feel like we are now.  Like who watches that clip with Puka and thinks any of that poo is funny or cool?  If I was Puka, I’d honestly be wondering why tf I’m hanging out with these beta ass, racist, cretin ass weirdos.
    • 7 wins this year and some of those against really good teams and yall think Canales might get fired? Lol Good luck getting a better coach in here if that happens.
