starting defense...

Calm down there chicken little. Brayton had two sacks in the first quarter. We still don't know who is going to start at DT. The LB core needs time to gel. Our best corner isn't even playing...we had Munnerlyn matched up on Boldin. We'll be fine.

Gotta shake the rust out bro.

From what I saw I was thoroughly impressed. Although Captain needs to work on his technique before thinking he's starter material.

And hopefully Fox realizes that Beason needs to be in the middle, getting lost on basic level plays is something were not accustomed to seeing from Beast.

on the TD Captain actually had pretty good coverage considering he didn't have help. I think it was more of a slip than anything.

I was actually pretty impressed with D-line. Do need Gamble back, but I don't put too much stock in a bunch of cheap screen plays. Nice throw by Flacco, but wouldn't have happened with Gamble.

Only thing that really concerns me is O-Line... Matt Moore did pretty well given the time he had to throw and penalties. And while Duke Robinson might be a beast in the running game, he's going to get Matt killed on passing downs...

I dunno, I thought the first string defense looked ok. I don't like Beason playing outside, it's just wrong. It should be a rule in the NFL that if you're a pro-bowler in a certain position, you can never play outside that position. Unless you're used in different packages in those different positions. And our secondary was minus Gamble, but they shouldn't have been that bad though. They need a bit of work. Our offense needs more work at this point, but being minus 3 pro-bowl caliber players does kind of limit the amount of skill level on the field.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
