Break all preseason return yards records.

Speak fluent dolphin, chimpanzee, and wasp.

Have a touch-back, FG, receiving TD, rushing TD, Passing TD, safety, block FG, force fumble, sack, fumble recovery, 67 yard punt in one game.

Catch a pass while crucified.

Change the rules to wait five years and become a Hall of Famer in three years.

Do 8.5 cartwheels on the sun.

NFL re-name touch-down "Armanti Edwards"

Find a cure for cancer.

Have 17 recs in one quarter.

Score a 85 yard touchdown while carrying a two DTs and LB on his back.

Seriously though... if he could get some separation when running a route when we host the Jets next week would be a good place to start... that or hitting the blocks without doing some Riverdance moves when he receives a Punt... or catching 40% of the balls thrown to him instead of 2 out of 9...

If Steve Smith was playing last night he would have had some drops. It was effing pouring in the rain. Why is everyone expecting this guy to be Super human his first preseason game. It amazes me how some people are wanting to crucify this guy already.

My expectation for the year...

At Wide Receiver:

15 Receptions

140 Yards

40 Yards After the Catch

2 TDs

At Returning:

650 Yards

1 Touchdown

Less than two fumbles

EDIT:

If he catches 10 passes this season and goes over the 100 yard mark at receiver he was a better pick than Heyward-Bey!

Super human? No. Competent? Yes.

He had more that a "Few drops".

The only receiver who did worse (ratio wise) was David Gettis... a 6th rounder.

Armanti is a 2nd & 3rd rounder... the Front Office says they saw something special in him. Whatever that could have possibly meant, I didn't see it last night.

Hopefully he turns it around...

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
