Robinson to ir lol. Boy our last two drafts look pretty bad. I dont agree with most of the cuts. Eric Moore cut in favor of Senn when he's looked pretty bad? Hayden still on the team? (already talked about the others)
Only 2010 draft pick cut is R.J. Stanford, a seventh-rounder.

not bad, imo. still have to see how they do, though.

2009 Draft: 5 Starters/Role Players (Brown, Martin, Goodson, Fiametta and Munnerlyn)

2010 Draft: 1 Starter and several important backups (notably Clausen and Hardy)

Sorry but that's better than most teams on average and considering how much talent on this team was drafted by us that's pretty amazing. And we haven't even had the full 3-4 years to evaluate either draft class.

why is jarret still here and hoos isnt???!!!

Because Hoos is 32 and wants to be paid like a #1 WR.

I have said it many, many times....listen up.

The Panthers are a run first and defense first team. The passign game is used as enough of a compliment to make defenses somewhat respect it....that is all.

You WILL NOT see them pay big contracts for multiple receivers. The sooner people accept this, the happier you will be.

Jarrett made the team because he is one of the best 4 WR's on the team...as sad as that is.

Tyler was a bit of a surprise. However, he was flat outplayed by Johnson, Leonard, and Landri. He was also no better than Hayden in the preseason. Hayden vs Tyler...toss up and I lose no sleep over this.

You see that the LB and DB depth has a ST focus. They took a slighly weaker D player if he could also contribute on ST.

I still would like to see a vet at #2 WR...not a Hoosh, but maybe a Coles type player. I am nervous going in with Jarrett...3 rookies...and a nobody behind Smitty.

David Gettis makes the roster along with five other WRs.

YAY!

4 other WR and Jarrett. :beatdeadhorse5: But are more cuts to follow, as soon as the font office slowly "observe" the waiver wire?

Jarrett and Hayden, must have some "dirt" on somebody over there!

Guys, I'm FAR from a Jarrett fan, but how the fug do you not call him one of the best 6 receivers on the team? I mean, yeah, he's basically a TE, and he's slower than Fox, but he has very good hands.

As mentioned before, this is more a reflection on how bad our WR group is, but still. Did you want to keep Trent Guy over him? Be a little realistic.

the sooner JR changes this, the sooner we'll be happy.

If you think that Hoosh will sign a small dollar contract just because Seattle is on the hook for $7million, you are nuts.

At 32, this is probably his last contract. With all of the teams out there, he will sign a contract for sig dollars...just wait.

Now, if someone signs him for a $2 million dollar...2-3 year contract, I will give you mad props. However, I see that as very, very doubtful.

Also, you would see me running through the streets naked and cheering if we signed him. I do believe a strong #2 WR is our only true weakness this season.

There were expectations, that Jarrett would develop into a #2 WR. In our "offense" the other WR are expected to play ST. So, I think in many opinions, Jarrett should have been competing for the #2 position... only! When we go 3 WR sets, are we going to put him in the slot? It's not his hands that bother most, it's his feet and work ethic. He has no playmaking ability and doesn't even block that well. So we keep a WR, who has been inactive in over half the time he's been here and has avgeraged 11 catches a year and has 1 TD. I like what they did with Guy, PS will let him develop, but there are about 80 better WR in the league than Jarrett and hopefully if the right guy becomes available, we can upgrade at the position.

When we drafted Jarrett, I liked his potential and since then I have gave up hope. Colbert beat him out and then we re-signed Moose (he still was not ready for #2) then Kenny Moore beat him out. My question would be "what has he done to earn a roster spot"? Is it because he is a veteran and he's been here a while? I really don't hate him, but we just let some good talent walk to hold on to "hope" for another season.
