so which 8 guys will be deactivated?

Pike, Neblett, McClain, Edwards, Gettis are about the only ones I can think of.

WR is a real doozy to figure out. That will probably be week by week.

Im not hating on Jarrett but he prob will be some games to allow AE to run the wildcat and Gettis to play ST. Really just depends though. Jarretts lack of ST play has always hurt him.

Yeah that's true I was just giving Jarrett the edge on experience I guess. He probably should be one of the guys to be deactivated though but his sticky hands are pretty valuable even though he hasn't looked good doing anything else.

browns, buccs, tennesse, jags, broncos, raiders and rams are all pretty much as weak. None have a player like 89 and at least our te's are capable

I would add a few other teams. Cowboys for example. With Crayton leaving, their top WR's are Austin and Roy Williams. Smith and (insert name here) could easily be a better group than that pair.

Roy Williams sucks, how is that delusional

Because hes better than Dwayne Jarrett who might be our number 2 and we dont have another WR who has shown that they will make us forget about Moose. And Miles Austin showed last year that he can be one of the best in the league. Not to mention that the Cowboys have Dez Bryant who was killing it before he got hurt and will eventually take Roy Williams spot

Id take Dez or Roy over Dwayne any day. And Lafell and Edwards are a year or two away from filling their potential and theres no guarantee that they will even be the players that we think they will be. All we have is Smitty, but 1 WR cant do it all by himself....

I don't know that Williams is actually better than Jarrett. I'd call Williams the bigger bust, especially considering what Dallas gave up for him

then you must only watch Panthers football

both of those dudes didnt live up to the hype. but since Dallas gave up more that means DJ is the better player? If youd pick DJ over Roy Williams then I question your football knowledge. Theyre both trash but Williams is the better player and is more productive on the field. Do you seriously think that DJ is a better option than Williams? Seriously bro?

Jesus christ....

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
