Deangelo Williams is the best player out of the 06 draft.

There is no statistical proof or eyeball test that shows Williams being superior. I bet since the Jaguars aren't nationally televised and are nowhere near local here that you guys don't get to see the games like I have the past few years. I understand that you guys give Williams a bump because he plays for the local team, I see it myself when I am on the Jaguars forum.

Ah, so the truth comes out..We now have a little clue into this boner you've got for MJD.

I guess this is a pointless argument since some people can not view things objectively.

Your right.

Because we aren't seeing things your way, and we aren't buying into the "Grass Is Always Greener" philosophy, we aren't being "objective"

Truth comes out? Read my post history. I have been saying I was a Jags fan since I joined this forum. I moved to Carolina a few years ago and have been trying to find a reason to pull for the local team. That has little to do with my opinion of Jones-Drew being better, though. Look, one of us has provided countless examples and statistics, while the other just says "BUT NO WAI.... WILLIAMZ HAZ TO BE BEZT". You have nothing. You assumed Fred Taylor had been out of Jacksonville for three years and that pretty much tells me all I need to know about your opinion and facts. You haven't been objective. Most people in here didn't even realize Jones-Drew was drafted that season.

I am done arguing with you though unless you come in here making up for "facts". You can say statistics don't count but when it comes to the Hall of Fame, they do. Jones-Drew is also two years younger than Williams despite being drafted the same year. Compare Williams numbers when he was 25 to Jones-Drew now since he is 25 and it is a huge gap. Compare Williams numbers now to Jones-Drews in two years and its going to look silly. Jones-Drew is a better back and that is why we didn't want him to split carries anymore.

Fred Taylor is likely the greatest player in Jaguars history up to this point and you couldn't even tell me when he last played for the team. That is all I need to know of how much you know that isn't Panthers Football. Enjoy your bubble.

DeAngelo Williams has averaged 5.1 yards per carry for his career. MJD has averaged 4.6 yards per carry.

Not even close, that is the key stat for running backs, assuming 130 or so carries a year.

Can't compare the two. For the record, Jim Brown is the all time leader at 5.2 yards per carry.

So do you think if you put DWill back in the fifties and sixties he would not average 5.2 yards per carry?

Don't be ridiculous, stats show DWill is the best running back in NFL history. Watch the game. Look at the numbers.

Williams is doing it solo? No, he is splitting carries and it helps stay fresh. Think he could keep the five average up pounding the rock 25 times a game behind a bad offensive line?

I am not saying Williams is bad. He is elite. I just think Jones Drew has the edge. He has more tds than any other back since he came into the league and is one of the best at rushing for a first down. Moving the chains and putting the ball in the end zone is more important than just yards.
