So the OP is saying that because AE has been very active and in alot of plays this preseason he should start over Martin, who I thought would make the team last year. Just curious, because the first games AE played in I thought he was terrible, and had a little bit better sucess after that, a ltttle, Im still pissed Moore was cut in favor of these gambles, even if they have potential, Moore was getting better every game.

Who's the cock saying we need to deactivate Martin so we can give our draft picks playing time? This isn't middle school rec league, if they aren't ready (and Gettis and Edwards aren't) you don't put them on the field. We're out here to win f'ing football games and having Charly Martin running ST's is going to be a lot more helpful right now than Gettis and Edwards playing with themselves on the sideline.

Last time I looked, both Gettis and AE played on ST also. (AE and Gettis also led the team in receptions in the preseason.) BTW this is a "guess" by a idiot named Gantt! I agree with KillerKat, the time is now to develop a #2 and #3, not a guy who caught 1 pass and had 3 solo tackles on ST (Martin). How about we just put DJ on the inactive list, because thats what he is on the field!

:cheers2:

Gnatt is not an Idiot. He's a reporter who gives his opinons, and views. Same as everyone else on here.

Anybody can play ST, but that doesnt mean they should. Martin is hands down a better one right now, and can't simply be replaced.

You do not use the regular season to develop players. You field the best team, your here to win. Gettis and Edawrds have the whole season to develop through practise, traning and film.

    • Yeah, I was about to say I hope he's doing okay health-wise because he's not looking good in that pic.
    • Honestly, I dont  think he should be on the hot seat yet. A bad start to next year, then yes. Despite our mistakes on play calling this past season, we played better than anticipated overall. Bryce showed improvement and maturity (although still not nowhere close to our expectations). Better record and 2-15 to 5-12 to 8-9. Despite what we feel the stats dont lie we are improving by 3 wins a year. Could 11-6 be our expectation. That's a high bar but at the rate we are going, thats what its looking like. We all want to see a 5-12 to a 13-4 record but we are methodically moving up. Success doesnt happen overnight (well in most cases).  IMO we are struggling mostly on the defensive end. LB and edge are our biggest weakness. I see Bryce making improvements (even though I was a Bryce hater) next year. Biggest concern is LT on offense. How to fix this? We need a big name edge or to trade up and get a big name edge or LB and pick up one in FA and draft one. Also if in the 3rd we can pick up a TE. Dont know if Sanders is the answer or Tremble (even though I love Trembles blocking and power after the catch). If these two can get their footwork together they would be great. Maybe all they need is a better TE coach. And if Brooks can stay healthy and be the back we thought he could be, man that would be great
    • Dumbly blaming the best player on the team for everything.
