How should I approach this work dillyo?

Yet again,an idea from pstall gets hijacked and somebody takes it and runs with it.

Gonna save the bank tons of time and tons of money and clients will be all gleeful and junk.

Part me just wants to shut off the idea pipeline and become a working mute. Some may cheer at that proposition.

I'm trying to take the approach of you guys aren't utilizing me properly and give me a team or put me in a more innovative think tank etc.

But I don't want to come across as a glory hound etc but man, give me a freakin break. My balls get busted over one error and yet I just brought in more revenue that you didn't even knew existed??

I did. My bosses boss LOVED my idea. He linked me up with another site manager to go over it some more but she and I couldn't get a good time together.

That was 3 months ago. Last week on a conference call they go hey guys, we are going to start doing this now and its gonna do x and y and z. Not one word or email or thanks or anything.

Somebody got a green belt out of this and I didn't even get a thank you email.

Do you do your own reviews. Spell out the idea and the projected savings ("in addition to the idea from last year which saved $x,000,000"). Keep a document around that you can give to a big boss when the time is right

Send an email to the managers saying "great news that this idea got implemented! Thank you so much for making this happen!"

or whatever

I'm the worst at suggesting ideas and them someone else running with it. Always put a plan in place in writing then it will be hard for someone else to take credit for it.

And working for the biggest company in the city probably makes it even harder to stand out. I'd just show up, do my work, and slink out the back early every day. Sometimes flying under the radar is more rewarding than being recognized.

Next time...formulate it as a kaizen idea.

Management will think 1) obviously there must be a need and 2) this guy is up on management programs to improve processes. Be professional. Fool me once...
