Why get cute on offense?

Exactly. If moore is suchhhhh a shitty ass qb, who was in there calling the plays last year? Don't give me this "there was no pressure the games meant nothing" bullshit. I want to know where THAT matt moore is now.

Why the f**k did we not run the ball. WE ARE A RUNNING TEAM why not try what we are good at before we give the ball to our qb and say here just throw it as much as you can.

f**king jeff davidson you looked like an asshole up there in the booth. He even looked embarrassed to be representing the Panthers.

dammit. dammit. dammit.

Deangelo had 62 yards on 16 carries...not exactly a bad average at 4 yards a pop. Our typical mantra is that our OL is going to last longer than their DL and Davidson didn't even give them a chance to make that happen. He took the ball out of our best player's hands after the beginning of the 3rd quarter and it all went downhill from there. One of the worst called games I have seen..and I feel like I have said that a lot about Jeff Davidson.

Remember, they couldn't run worth a damn yesterday. Only reason D-Will has a decent average is because of that one decent run he had. Other than that, they were all 3 yards or less. That's why they abandoned the run and they started passing more.

You keep running anyway, that's what good running teams do. You run and run and run and accept 2-3 yards on first down. Late in the game that 2-3 turns into 4-5, as the defense gets tired.

Last year we led the league in runs that broke through into the secondary. There were tons of games where we had 2-3 yard runs that were augmented by 20-30 yard scampers to make the final average look good. It's how running teams work.

With a normal team that would work.

With the Panthers, you CANNOT abandon the run. Its seriously the only thing we are definitely sure of. WTF are you thinking Jeff Davidson?!!?! Damn I need to seriously do something to make me feel better today because this is just a horrible horrible day.

Jeff, this is what you did. You made our quarterback throw which was a horrible decision based on the fact that our OFFENSIVE LINE couldnt hold a fuging 98 year old woman from rushing our quarterback. They were blitzing on like every single play and yet we CONTINUE to pass the ball despite the fact that our O line is letting everyone through, which causes moore to be rushed ont he throw when no one is open, which causes him to wait till the last second to throw, which causes him to get hit time and time again. I cant tell you how many hits poor Matt took yesterday but he did NOT look like he was ok.

Im not even going to get started on our passing defense, because it was nonexistant.

so THEN because you wanna let our qb throw the whole 2nd half, you wear our gd defense out because we are 3 and out on EVERY SINGLE SERIES. UGH im so mad still. I could do better playcalling. Just let me get out there on 1 series.

They did abandon the run, and I agree that you can't do that... you gotta keep pounding it, if the Defense knows you're passing every time, they're gonna pin their ears back and kill your QB, which is exactly what happened... the few times we did try and run in the second half we did it out of obvious formations, with only 1 wide out, and they stopped it cold. No imagination whatsoever yesterday...

    • I wouldn't mind a deal that would add Rust or Rakell from the Pens. Move Jarvy to 2C, send KK and a prospect to Pittsbhrgh. Pittsburgh is taking calls for both. And both of them have played very well against Carolina.
    • I liked James on a personal level. I still do. But he had his flaws too and what's done is done. Charles Lee will get this season to showcase what he's building. If he and the team look like poo he should be on a very hot seat. But I don’t expect that to happen. I could be wrong. But I'd rather not be in this instance. Regardless. At some point we're going to be lucky to hire anyone worth a damn if we keep firing coaches. It's not something any of us should want to see because it's only going to mean yet another reset. Best case scenario is Lee with this infusion of youth establishes a refreshing culture change. We'll see.
    • This is preseason fluff, I know he has Buffalo 28 and they might not be are studded but they will perform over expected which can easily happen to the panthers. This is the “name game/franchise name”. I would put us against Green Bay in terms of talent but Green Bay is gonna get the benefit of the doubt
