Potential Home for Peppers

Why the f*ck would KC trade for Peppers when they just traded away a younger DE in Jared Allen?

Different regime now.

New GM.

They could use him. They have the room.

Allen had some issues for KC, personal and otherwise.

If he is the all-word DE in the eyes of the personnel people in the league as he is to some of the folks on this board, no problem, KC gladly pony up a #1, maybe even throw in a #2 fo him this year or the year after.

part of the reason they are 45 mil under the cap is because they don't have enough money to hit the cap. smaller market team than we are.

plus they got screwed over by larry johnson in that monster contract they gave that overrated piece of crap.

they are going to need all the draft picks they can get while rebuilding and trading for peppers will only take away from that.

KC isn't likely.

we need to keep him here anyway.

    • It's still CJ by a wide margin.  BY has closed the gap, but the gap is still considerably large.  Let's not forget CJ was without basically ALL of his weapons in this last game against the Patriots, and I'm pretty sure he had an injury.  BY lost to that same Pats team by like 40 points.  In fairness, a good bit of that was due to the defense.  That said, BY was completely incapable of keeping us in the game.  Mistake free football does not always equal good football.  He still had a bad game.
    • Playing QB in this league is tough.  I can't hate on a man's work ethic without knowing exactly what it is.  From everything I've read about him, I seriously doubt his work ethic has dropped.  He had 2 concussions in 2 years, has his OL downgraded, got a different OC, and lost his best weapons due to injury in these short 2 years after his rookie year.  Throw that in with teams having more film on him and the drop-off makes sense.  Maybe he needs to change what he does in the offseason to adapt better, but I doubt he has an issues with work ethic.
