I know the Panthers went after him as their coach back in '02. He turned them down to coach Peyton Manning and the Colts (turned out to be a great decision).

Well it looks like 9 years later, the Panthers will have a head coaching vacancy. Would Dungy be interested? If not for the HC position, what about in a capacity that Bill Parcells and Mike Holmgren have taken on the Dolphins and Browns?

Just an interesting thought...since Richardson and Co. like high character guys. Might be too pricey. I see us either promoting within or hiring a no-name from some other team, a lot like Fox.

      FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.

      That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?

      Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
