Fox/Davidson Play Design

Beyond in-game management and certain players not currently cutting it, I am very curious to see what people think about the playbook...more specifically the design of our WR patterns & routes. I think this may be the absolute biggest problem with the offense.

So I propose this question to anyone with knowledge of how the typical passing-juggernaut-teams' plays are designed:

Do our plays simply not give wideouts the opportunity to even be able to get open or whatnot? I just dunno anymore

I simply cannot believe anymore that we can't find a single decent WR or get even a veteran to play well as a number 2 in our system. Keyshawn, Moose, and even DJ Hackett to an extent had shown what they could do on other teams...and on top of it, one should think with all the wideouts that have cycled through here in the last 5 or so years, we can't find a single one, NOT ONE to really shine, and I'm not saying become a star, but shine in a number two role? It just doesn't add up to me.

Theres no innovative thinking. Thats what it boils down to. Hell, we don't even mix the running game up really.

I agree....why does Fox need an OC to run those kind of plays.I think it is Fox because we were running the same poo when Henning was here

When 28 is in the game we run always. When 34 is in the game its run or play action. We are very predictable.

Well, my point is that's it's not Henning or Davidson, or Trgo or Meeks. It's Fox.

I saw everything I needed to see when we ran the freakin' I-form from 3rd and long at LEAST twice. (Both times that I remember resulted in sacks)

Our design is extremely outdated and just plain bad. Get Fox outta here!!!

Yea...Tampa was really biting on that play action on 3rd and 12.Go figure I know plenty of High School coaches that would be better than Fox with offensive play calling and we will probaly get one on JRs budget- ball team
