Who do we miss most?

My thoughts...

Offense: Nobody, but if we were forced to take one back, here's the order I would put them in.

Vincent: All we need is a downgrade in our pass protection. But he does do well at run blocking.

Delhomme: If we had to take anyone back, I would take Jake solely for his leadership in the huddle. No doubt he would have gotten those guys pumped up in the huddle enough to open a hole for Stewart on the goal line. On the flip side, he may have turned it over before we got there. But the future is now, and we don't need him back to succeed.

Moose: He just got too old, couldn't get separation last year and wasn't doing a great job catching the ball. He can't leap high enough to snag an overthrown ball and doesn't have the speed to run under it.

Hoover: Fiametta's blocking isn't the problem.

Defense - Chris Harris

The most glaring problems we have on defense are in the secondary. Harris was a little slow, but he was the leader and made sure everyone had their defensive assignments. I think we miss Harris more than any other player

Peppers: Just for his talent alone he comes in second, but really the line is doing fine without him.

Lewis: Don't miss him a bit, Landri and the rotation are more effective at applying pressure

Diggs: I don't see any drop-off. In fact, for a while yesterday Anderson was leading the team in tackles. When was the last time that happened from the SLB position?

Kemo: I can't even think of a reason to want him on the roster.

Otah doesn't count, he's still on the roster.

And he wouldn't fix our passing offense anyway.

Not sure about that. Otah would allow Schwartz to play guard. This would improve our running game which in turn would make things much easier in passing.

I would not want him to be a starter under Fox, but looking at how fractured this team is looking, I miss Delhomme the most.

So far I have not seen that fire in any other player. And when Steve acted like an ass and punched our team-mate he handled the entire situation like a true leader. He came out there and won games for us on the road without him but at the same time maintained the relationship he always had with our best player.

That is what a leader is to me. And that's what this team needs more than anything on offense. We have SO many holes to plug on offense right now. QB, O-line, receivers, OC playcalling....etc. Leadership will not fix all of those, but it will certainly help.

It's like if you have a car that has a million problems and you know eventually you need to replace a transmission, engine, tire, etc..yeah you have to fix them sooner or later, but in the mean time I would feel much better with a mechanic for a father that can patch it up and get me to work, than I would with a stingy dad, even if he was rich.

Moose without an effing doubt. I realize we were going for the whole youth movement, but you don't cut a serviceable No. 2 when there is no clear heir-apparent on board. Tell me Moose couldn't have at least been a decent No. 3 this year.

Moose played very well once Moore came in last season, and is only two years removed from a near 1,000-yard season.

Not only that, but he would have been a great tutor to players like LaFell, Edwards and Gettis. Because it's clear our front office has no ability to develop a receiver on their own.

    • Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. Best place to live?  LMAO... that's your criteria...  Charlotte gets put all over those lists too... come on man... and those lists have zero to do with sports. I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you? There is an actual discussion board on this very site for Raleigh sports since they are so superior...  Maybe it's bc I'm watching Idiocracy with my son, but your timing is perfect, my man... The dumbest among us have become the most confidence in their ignorance... God Bless America!!
    • You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
    • Okay, who is coming. And how hard is it going to be to get tickets? I’m currently living in Germany a couple hours north of Munich. Happy to help facilitate a cheaper experience for help getting tickets lol.
