MEL KIPER.... Let's hope you are right!!!!

When we drafted Clausen I did not think that he would see the field as long as M. Moore stayed healthy.

After the two Abysmal games Moore had, it is time to see if Clausen is all that. Mel Kiper ranted and raved about Clausen all pre-draft. I have never been much of a fan of Kiper but I hope he is right.

Clausen had more completions in one Quarter then Moore had the whole game. The int. was thrown quite hard but I blame that on being over excited and anxious wanting to put us in the end zone.

Just remember fans we are going to have to accept the mistakes of a rookie QB. I think Clausen is our future so we have to be prepared to allow him to grow.

I agree, I just don't know if going up against Cincy would be a wise first start.

Uhm...better than on the road against the Saints next week. No, this is actually the best freaking move Fox could have done.

After 3 years I finally approve of Fox's moves in the past two weeks, minus the playcalling.

He was correct to give Moore another shot yesterday. He is correct in starting Jimmy since he benched Moore yesterday and we need to use this game to prep for our dividional game against the Saints.

As many have said the interception was at worst thrown catchable and tipped, at best thrown on the money to a deeper receiver and tipped. Not a big deal. That said, rookies will throw more interceptions than vets every time so comes with the territory.

Should I bring up the bucs d being in prevent mode giving up the short passes in front of them or should I let the euphoria continue?

I expect Clausen to struggle on Sunday. The bengals will confuse the hell out of him with disguised defensive plays.

Clausen is going to make mistakes. We have to be ready to accept it, even if it means a loss. I don't think we go back to Moore. Moore is gone at the end of the season and keeping Pike might not have been such a bad move after all.

I'm right there with you Zod. I think Clausen should start, but you better make sure the server doens't have a meltdown when JC doesn't throw for four hundred yards and five touchdowns.....It would have been nice to get someone like Seattle this week

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
