could happen but he got smacked around in preseason pretty good and he recovered well.

In any case it is not like we have a choice. If Clausen does average at least we can go into the next season with some experience at QB. If clausen bombs, you can keep that in mind at the draft. I don't think Clausen will bomb and I think he will be perfectly adequate as the Panthers QB, and I am not an optimistic person.

I think it is a mistake. Jimmy and will ultimately hurt delay his progress. No WR outside of Smitty in a very tough offense to play QB in.....then factor in Fox's touch. I wasn't hoping he didn't see field until next season under new management.

He had a crappy O-line and running game the whole time he was at ND, so he should be used to it by now. Besides, I fully expect the Panthers O-line to get better as the season goes along. They started slow last year too.
