if you look thru all the marty speak it's apparent he thinks alot of the offensive problems start with the qb( me to).

eh, you put a young QB out there with questionable OL play and recieving targets that are a joke.......you will have QB problems. Not to mention putting a QB out there and telegraphing just about every run or pass.....you will have QB problems.

Same as last year, Jake took his blame and the blame that belonged to the coaching staff. Moore is getting his share and the HUGE share that belongs to Fox and company.

They talk a lot but say nothing.
Don't you mean to say that they talk a lot, and say a lot of things you disagree with?

You have to give Marty credit for going on the radio and talking.
I do, and I don't think he was ordered to do so by the Big Cat. Everyone wants to win, and at 0-2 it's pretty apparent that it's not happening the way we're going. Hurney and Fox made what turned out to be some pretty bad mistakes this year. Notably, turning over the franchise to Moore, who they must have doubted.

If Moore played like he did last December, and we were 2-0 right now, they would look like geniuses and there would be people on the huddle left and right gloating over how young and talented we are. But instead he imploded and the Panthers followed suit, and now we're stuck with a rookie QB and an upset fan base.

He gambled, he lost, and he had the guts to go on the radio and take some heat for it. I like him, I'm glad he's here, and I hope he retires here.

Really sounded like he couldn't wait to get Clausen in there...

When you are 0-2, have had very bad quarterback play as well as poor effort across the board, what else are you going to do. Put in the next guy and tout how excited you are, hoping he can turn things around. He knows that a few more losses especially at home will make things get real ugly in Charlotte. If Clausen doesn't play well then what kind of song and dance do you think he will do in a week or two.

i just wish they would admit that it is a rebuilding year rather than sugar-coating the poo with a less harmful term "youth movement". to me, that is one in the same. yes there are still some vets on the team, but when you are the youngest team in the league by age, have unproven (and now a rookie) quarterback under center throwing to rookie wide receivers, you are what you are.... right foxey? i'm okay with seeing what lafell, gettis, armanti, etc. have out there. however, when we end up 5-11, two things better happen. one, bye-bye foxey and davidson. second, with a top 5 pick and a bona fide "andre johnson or brandon marshall" type of wideout sitting on the board, we better take him.

i agree with you to a point, the play calling , oline are all issues and don't think clausen will come in and play all pro from day one. but their is no way the coaches can take the blame for jakes 18 int's or moore 's 3 in the redzone against the giants. here's somehting else to think about, maybe we call plays based on the ability of the qb playing

Is this a rebuilding year?

No.. We are dealing with same issues of last year. Turnovers. Money has nothing to do with that. A WR would not of fixed our problems.

LOL, what a clueless baffoon. I so want to scream in his face right now:

HEY MARTY! IF YOUR RECEIVERS ARE GOOD, AND CAN GET SEPARATION QUICKLY, YOUR QB CAN CHECKDOWN IF THERE IS PRESSURE!

IF YOUR RECEIVERS SUCK, AND COVERAGE IS PAINTED ALL OVER THEM, THE D-LINE WILL GET TO THE QB.

God damn I can't wait for the day that Hurney is sent down the road. He knows less about the game than my 6 year old nephew. FCUK!

Apparently they must think folks are pretty stupid around here and will buy whatever they are selling. After the myriad of threads for the last 6 months talking about the youth movement, how we didn't lose anyone, and how the team was still a playoff team, apparently they are right.

Now that reality has begun to set in, they are touting Clausen as the answer. I wonder what will be next if that doesn't work either.

There are no sure WR prospects out there that are worth a top ten pick so far. If we draft that high, it will probably be on defense.

And of course, that will go over really well around here... :)

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
