Would you trade...

The only way I wouldnt trade D'Will to anybody is if the Panthers either sign him now to a long term deal (which in the past they would have, but not now cause of the CBA) or if they plan to franchise tag him. Otherwise, if this season continues to go down hill fast, they should trade him for picks because losing him as a free agent with nothing to show for it would be just dumb.

that's insane.. DWill can't run because we NEED more receivers.. There is NO way DWill would be more important than a star receiver.. plus both are young and will hold the #1 WR spot for years..

Stewart and Goodson will be just fine, and the addition of Jackson/Bryant will open the field up- to, ya know, RUN the ball efficiently..

Bryant has the potential, but isn't a #1 WR yet. If Clausen turns out to be an above average qb, (I think he'll be a good one) then Williams for Jackson would be a good deal, but you don't know that yet. What good is a team with star wrs if their qb is trash? The Ravens have very good receiving corps, yet they still struggle on the passing game due to how bad Joe Flacco has been for them so far.

I don't have enough faith in Jonathan Stewart's durability to trade Williams for anybody.

Keep the band together and use next year's first pick on the best receiver available.

Which running back has missed more games due to injury in the past two years?

Williams has only missed three. Stewart hasn't missed any yet, but he's a perpetual practice scratch and with an increased workload, who knows?

I prefer having two stud RBs who can split time (and no, Goodson isn't there yet).

With an increased workload and no practice Stewart simply went on to lead the team in rushing and prove he was Deangelos equal and maybe the best rb on the roster. Two starting rbs in a passing league is a luxury, and if this team had the opportunity to bolster our weakest position on the team with a possible stud wr at the cost of losing one of them they'd have to consider it. And seriously, running backs , especially backup rbs, are relatively easy to find, as evidenced by the fact we have about three good ones at the moment.

I think you're point is exactly the same for our run game.. at least with some receivers we are balanced.. right now we can't do poo...

wouldn't it make sense to balance our offense out?

DeAngelo Williams to Dallas for Dez Bryant?

No I would not. We are a run first team and I'll be glad when we get back to running the rock. We didn't try to turn Delhomme into P. Manning so why are we trying it with Moore? Is Fox gamplan to make him fail to prove to everyone that he was right for not pulling his boy and starting Moore. All our QB need to do is establish the pass, so we can hit the ground running. I think we put to much attention on the pass this offseason that we forgot to run. The only thing I would agree with is trading Sutton for a good, better than what we have, WR to help Smith. And we better resign D. Will.

get back to running the rock? we only gave that up late in the 4th when we are down and forced to pass...

with that in mind, how do you figure Moore was forced to be Peyton with less than 20 attempts?

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
