Panthers vs Bengals thread

tbh, saw signs of life from this team. hugely improved in pass coverage. 2nd half saw a huge increase in my confidence in the offense, though obviously it still needs work.

I would not be surprised if we see a lot of draws out of shotgun formations in the future. There were some gigantic running lanes.

Clausen looks very good for a rookie, but he is still a rookie. He lead 3 very good drives, but yeah. When you need TDs and not FGs, it doesn't matter so much. Turnovers and penalties killed the team and demonstrates a lack of real discipline and indicates how terrible our coaching has gotten.

Also, play calling was slightly better in the 2nd half.

It was a well defended pass. There are very few NFL receivers that might have caught it. Steve Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, maybe one or two others.

quite a few more than that honestly. The first pass you'd be right, that second one Lafell managed to get into his chest and it bounced off of him I think.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
