Interesting. Did'nt see what happened.

After reading it...it would seem that he is a smart QB. Dos'nt want to force it and when he did it gor picked last game. I think he will play smarter from now on. Hope so anyway...

Looked like Clausen was more comfortable with finding LaFell than throwing to Smith where he could get intercepted because of double coverage. Smart play on his part.

With the way our receiving corps is set up it's hard for a rookie to throw to a number 1 whose double teamed...it'll be much easier when he gets more comfortable and confidence in his abilities but now with no stand out number two its going to be a struggle.

Yea I agree as per my edit. I think he's going o be a very good QB. In time though.

That interception early on was just one excellent play by Hall. When I saw it, I couldn't really get mad at Clausen.

After that game, I was more hopeful about the future of our WRs. We do have some good ones. I hope they're more supportive of Jimmy, the next few weeks are critical in how he develops in this league.

Not only that but the more he spreads the ball around maybe other DCs will have to start covering our others wideouts and not double Smith so much. Giving him a chance to get open more.

wow...he says all the right things...he did try to force it, he realized it, said he can't do that anymore....and moving on

I know Smitty wants the ball, but a lot of the time the problem with our QB's has been the tendancy of "focusing on one reciever"...which they have a right to do so...but....YOU CAN"T DO THAT.

Jimmy really impresses me, he really does

smitty spits venom

"It was said that I was just about to 'go off,' and I wasn't," Smith said after Wednesday's practice. "I thought it was interesting because here, I was obviously agitated and frustrated, but sometimes people think they know me better than I know myself. I think that's a joke, and I think the people that reported it are jokes."

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
