inactives for Sunday?

This is kind of a weird question about inactive but, Clausen gets injured, Moore goes in to replace him and then HE gets hurt (knock on wood). At this point what happens, if Pike is inactive? I've always wondered about that. I've got theories but none of them make too much sense.

pike would be the emergency QB. he's allowed to wear a jersey but once he's in, then neither clausen nor moore would be allowed back in. beyond that we'd be screwed (which we probably would be by that point anyway).

if edwards is active, there's a chance that pike wouldn't be allowed to wear a jersey. on a game by game basis, the refs look at the roster and get to decide if we are allowed to have an emergency QB. if they feel that there are three actives on the roster that could fill the role, then we wouldn't be allowed an emergency QB. it doesn't matter if edwards isn't on our roster as a QB or if he's actually done anything as a QB (aside from the wildcat or whatever the crap they call it). if the refs believe that edwards ca step in and fil the role then he's the 3rd QB.

Interesting. Never knew the refs decided that.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
