Hard to make the comparison since they play different positions. Davis looked like a shoe-in Pro Bowler last year, but he only played half a season so it's hard to tell if he's actually that nasty or if he just had a great stretch of games. Anderson has been a lot better than most people on the Huddle have given him credit for--dude has been rock solid for us, rarely makes mistakes, just doesn't have the flash of Beason or Davis. Really glad to see him break out today, and if he can consistently play on that level, then yes, he's better than Davis.

You should be saying Anderson > Na'il Diggs. Anderson isn't replacing Davis. Jon Beason is. Anderson is playing the strong side (Diggs old position).

I know Beason has moved, but still, Anderson is putting up some amazing numbers right now. Number 2 in the NFL in tackles. That's crazy.

Of course, that also means our D is always on the field haha.

Anderson has been a great player so far. That will factor in with the Davis scenario, but they play different positions. I believe both are FA after this season which will lead to conflict. Which one do you keep? If Anderson keeps this up a pay day will be ahead. But, Davis has been injured. In a perfect world we keep both. But if it was a perfect world I'd have on the lotto by now

Those arguing that Davis is better on the basis that he played at a high level for a long period of time are ignoring the fact that he was really only the sick-nasty Davis that we view him as for half a season. Before that he was good, not great. Just like Anderson has been good before now, and if he keeps it up like his performance today then he will be great.

He keeps playing like he has been playing and a 3rd or 4th wouldn't be out of the question.

Dunno why we would trade him tho, he is under contract for 2 more years I think and provides excellent depth and ST's play.

I hope someone backs me up on this, but Anderson was a step slow all day. He was beat covering the TE repeatedly, the fumble recoveries are what people do when they get to the scene of the crime a second late. He got a lot of praise and had some good plays, but he is not that good. He takes bad angles and gets blocked by the TE too often. I know some of you will disagree, but watch the tape. TD is much better.
