IMO the acting and the story is secondary to the music and this year the music hasn't been anywhere near as good as last year.

Last night's duet with Mercedes and Santana singing the old Tina Turner song "River Deep, Mountain Wide" was great, though. Those two really are the best singers on that show. And Santana is hot.

Wasn't there something better to watch on Discovery, Nat Geo, or the Military channel instead? I wouldn't know, I was coaching football last night.

Yes. I watch these every night. Ever since the major networks became "The Jase Shows" (Dancing w/ Stars, America's got [little] Talent, American Idol) I can't watch network TV. PBS is still good (Nova, Frontline).

It seems the networks are programming for the mindless.
