Because this team under the same coaches and crappy playcalling have scored a bunch more points in the past. With you know who at quarterback at the end we averaged almost 30 points a game. I really doubt that it is all playcalling although I agree it is not good at this point. But execution has a lot to do with it as well.

Fair enough, but given the whole body of work the coaching staff has done over the years I tend to think that it was more luck on our part and poor execution on the other teams part that allowed us to score that much. What I'm getting at is that more often that not it was just plain luck more than better coaching.

And yes you do need some amount of luck sometimes executing a play in certain situations but it seems to me that this team relies on that too much.

Fox's plan is to out muscle the other team because he can't out smart them I guess.:D

But 25 points luck a game?? Seriously?? Most coaches believe you make your own luck by being in the right place at the right time for good things to happen. Fumbles don't happen for example something usually causes them. Guys can get loose and coverages break down but mostly players have to execute for good things to happen.

Are we talking offense or defense here? Certainly luck and proper execution play an important factor in the sucess of the outcome of the game. I bet if you reviewed the game tape of everyone of those wins you would see both good execution on our part and a break down in coverage of the other team. I almost be willing to bet it wasn't becasue the other team didn't know what we were going to do on that play.

My point is that every team that plays us knows what we are going to do and so do our fans and their fans. Heck even the commintators know what we are going to do. That hasn't changed in years no matter who the QB is. That's my point. All the bickering over who give's us the best chance to win is a moot point in my book.

this. I'm really worried because this might be our best chance to win a game.....Smitty or DoubleTrouble are going to have to have monster performances for us to win

that is pretty much why we were 12-4 in 2008. Studs being monsters for us to win.

Yes, we will win. :)

I predict three ways.

1. RealDeal, CRA, Sylvania, P55, and PFFL will all continue their Bash Jimmy crusade and say, "I told you so!", after our close win over the...49ers.

2. Some people will mark out thinking this is the start to a Playoff run. They will start getting overly happy, making thread after thread on what we have to get right to keep on winning.

3. Doom and Gloomers will be their usual asinine selves, and remind us all that we only beat the 49ers.

Do you see any other reaction to our win Sunday?
