Don't mean to brag, but...

I don't mean to brag (which really means I do) but I did make a comment to Matt Moore when I visited practice last week that went something along the lines of "maybe it's the new helmet Matt, you should switch back to the old one" and there he was on Sunday wearing the same style helmet he wore last year and he has a career day....

When I made the comment he responded with "yeah, you might be right about that", which I translated to "okay buddy, whatever", but there he was on Sunday with his "retro" helmet.

Of course I'm not single-handidly taking credit for Moore's return to 2009 form on Sunday (unless you think I should in which case you should give me incredible amounts of rep) but I am going to follow-up with him when I visit practice again this week and say: "see, I told you it was the helmet".

P.S. This thread is 99.9% a joke.

I wouldn't make a "See I told you so" joke but something like "Glad to see the helmet switch worked for you" comment because I bet he'd laugh about it with you and maybe give you a shoutout in his next interview lol

Maybe when you go you can give some pointers about our RBs attire/equipment or maybe the linemen's equipment and they will have a huge game next week!

Going back to your post from earlier in the week...I guess the security guy was right, sometimes they practice bad and play well, other times they play bad and practice well.

On a somewhat similar note, everybody else laugh at Carr's Bobba Fett helmet as well?

i wonder how long it will be before they are throughout the league? it does look funny, but i kinda think its just cuz its something i'm not used to seeing.

Just watched the first five games on TV... 0-5

Went to the 49ers game in person... WIN!

So I'm pretty sure that victory was all due to me being there. All I need is someone to hook me up with tickets each week and you can go ahead and start making room for that Super Bowl trophy.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
