What was your first live Panthers football game?

Canton Ohio in 1995 for me.

My dad drove me up there to watch some dumb sport named football and all I knew about it was it wasn't Mortal Kombat.

the Panthers beat the Jaguars. I was hooked.

Since then, I've missed fewer than 10 home games.

Man, I wish I had your history with games following the inaugural season Fiz...

MY dad hated sports and was/is a dick, so he didn't support me getting into them at all either as a participant or a fan... (No I don't need a kleenex)

Anyway, my uncle took me to the Bucs game our inaugural year, and we almost won... Was in Death Valley, BUT we were so far up in the nosebleeds I the players looked like I was watching an ant farm... I still loved it though. I still have my Game Program with Brett Maxie on the front, he was one of my favorites.

Haven't been able to go to another one sense then for various reasons. But, I'm happy to admit that I've lost numerous menial, poo jobs I've had for calling out of work to watch every game lol.

If anyone here has PSLs and won't be able to make a game the rest of this season, please let me know! I definitely want to make a game this year, and plan on taking my kids sometime in the next couple of years when they get old enough...

My dad got tickets in '95 and we drove down to Clemson to watch the Bucs play...

We lost. I remember feeling ashamed we lost to a team who wore such god awful jerseys...

Wow, that's cool you were there too. I have to admit I liked the ice cream unis better than these ones... 2 plays that still stick out in my memory to this day - Derrick Moore's 50+ yard run... May have been the biggest play from scrimmage for us to that point. And John Kasay hit the upright on an XPA and I promise you that upright shook for about an hour after he hit it, lol, I'll never forget that.

    • Was just explaining this to some dummy named Willy in another thread. I think he was just smoking’ too much cheese.  This has been going on for ages. Trent dilfer got all the ladies and threw just as many TDs as interceptions. This was the more violent era of football. The soft mfrs wanna see the passing TDs but the truth is that ain’t what ultimately wins football games. It’s a STRONG D, and an unstoppable run game, with some passes to keep the defense honest, if a for a TD great. in fact I would venture to say that the two panthers super bowls consisted of the same except cam threw more tds than interceptions and could run like Jamal Lewis and priest Holmes. its a tale as old as time. Something all ball knowers understand.
    • This team just traded a 2nd round pick for Bradley Chubbs. Edge, Miami Dolphins.
    • Ngl, as good as I felt about us after winning yesterday, when they showed the top NFC teams on SNF, I realized what a crazy year this is.  The NFC seems uncommonly top heavy.  As of today, we aren’t anywhere near playoff positioning, which at 5-4 seems very, very weird compared to most years.  I know things will shake out further as the season goes on and it likely won’t look the same, but I have the feeling it’s one of those years that you’ll need like 11 wins to get in as a wildcard. seems very like a very pantherish thing to rebound this year and that’s what it would take.
