What's not good with Hot Sauce?

Sir, I implore you to make this the "Official Huddle Hot Sauce Thread." Maybe a mod will help us out.

I am a hot sauce fiend. Like beer, it's almost impossible to say which hot sauce or pepper is my favorite, as almost all of them have their place.

That being said, this guy is definitely up there:

Many sauces have great flavor, but no heat. Likewise, many have the heat I look for, but nothing else (these are the kinds with the novelty-type names).

That El Yucateco has both heat and flavor in spades. It's great.

For an everyday sauce that you can use like a condiment (assuming you like hot stuff), Sriracha (aka "cock sauce") is hard to beat. You can also use it to make awesome spicy ketchups and spicy mayos.

Since we're on the subject, does anyone make their own hot sauces? I've got a couple pounds of habaneros that I need to use.

A good thing to do with habanero is to cheese them up & throw em on the grill to have with a porterhouse

But if you're trying to make your own sauce:

I would recommend getting some parsley, vinager, lime juice, and a small small amount of buttermilk....put them in the processer in that order for the most part after the chopped habanero ;) Simple but damn spicy

Sounds good, I may give that a shot. I'm glad you didn't suggest throwing in carrots -- I find I don't like the habanero sauces with carrot added.

How do you "cheese them up"? Like stuff them, or dice them up in some cheese and put that atop the porterhouse?

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
