well i just got on a conference call from the lions/bucs/falcons/ravens/jets and they told me drafting a qb in the first round recently has worked well...... but i told him no thanks we aren't interested, we like to be unconventional and groom our undrafted waiver claimed qbs to start in the leauge, they said good luck with that.

Crowd's booing, but we had almost no chance of completing a pass long enough to get the first down. Had to run a little time off the clock.

I think most people get the fact that we need to run time off the clock. They are booing because our offense if so bad that our only option is to try to make it harder for the Taints, rather than have a legitimate shot at scoring ourselves.

what I would like to see happen but never would after the half...

D - I feel bad for these guys but Meeks needs to quit getting cute up front. Standing up guys and rushing 3 and all that jazz needs to stop.

O - Jimmy can't play in these 2 WR sets. He can't handle the pressure and there aren't enough options. Spread it out......3-4 WRs and that way when the Saints bring the heat he has multiple options to check down to. The Saints will murder him and generate turnovers if you keep him in the base offense.

I'm not going to say anything bad about Clausen. You could put Brady in this offense, and he'd have a 10 rating. He may still suck, I just don't think we can tell because our offense is so poorly designed.

Not true, at least with Manning or Brady at QB defenses would have to respect the pass enough to cover our #2 every play. Sure our line would still suck but we would definitely have a more explosive offense.....

I'm far too worried about what Scherer's done to him.

I'd much rather take a Scherer free QB in the draft next year.

    • "by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down? That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.  If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now. I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.
