Stafford probably out for the year

And that's reportedly the case with Stafford, according to Tom Kowalski of MLive.com.

Kowalski reports that Stafford is expected to confer with Dr. James Andrews, who treated Stafford when he suffered a Grade 2 separation in Week One of the 2010 season. If it's indeed a Grade 3 separation, Stafford likely will require surgery, and he almost definitely will be done for the year.

As Kowalski points out, Stafford never has missed a game due to injury in high school or college. He now has had four significant injuries in less than two pro seasons -- a dislocated right kneecap, a separated left shoulder, and two separations of his right shoulder.

either the guy has the worst luck in the league, or he is too brittle to play NFL football.

    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
