Ok, I'll bite.

The movie was really cool. Good entertainment but I thought the camera was too shaky at times and reminded me of Cloverfield, a movie I would strangle the director for making in that fashion.

Nice story of what a good combat leader can accomplish and how loyalty and trust are necessary components for a combat action team. That goes both ways too.

Overall, I really dug it.

But,

One line sort of ticked me off when they said "Marines Don't Quit." Not that I'm saying they do, by all means I totally respect all branches of service.

I did some time with the 160th SOAR (Nightstalkers) and their official motto is "Night Stalkers Don't Quit" (NSDQ). Unofficially their other motto is "Death Waits in the Dark".

Wasn't the 1920's...

It was WW2 and there is no evidence that it involved UFOs. Most people attributed it to wartime nerves. People kinda afraid the Japanese back then.

Finally got to see this movie today. WOW!! It was great!

As for Aliens flying on whales?? Like that would EVER happen! That is not even realistic....

I thought it was fun, but it had the chance the be much better. I'm willing to bet that the script was hastily written by the directors/creators. Another film catering to the majority market share by dumbing itself down into a PG-13 video game cinematic. The film did succeed at tugging on a few heart strings and hitting emotional strides, but laziness in the script killed what that could have done for this movie.

It was fun though, even if some of the lines were laughably bad.
