Clausen actually looked like a pro QB today

Not so fast, Pantherland. Clausen actually looked pretty competent today. Not perfect, but confident.

The coaches actually took the training wheels off to a degree, and Clausen actually was able to pretty much take advantage of what little time that the O-line was providing and make some plays in the short passing game. This is the first time that he didn't actually look like he was playing scared most of the game, and it would be refreshing to see even more of a progression in that area as the season goes on.

Wouldn't it be nice to see what the kid can do if he had even a couple of seconds of more time on each play? It just makes me wonder what could be. Perhaps Clausen isn't the comprehensive bust that many have assumed.

clausen did some good things today, he was mostly taking three step drops and throwing hitches and slants. He also threw a couple nice back shoulder fades, and one nice deep ball to ss. But he still has trouble throwing routes down the field, and over the middle of the field. That will be his inevitable downfall.

Agreed, today was far and away his best day. Of course, it helped that we finally had a 100 yard rusher for the first time this year.

The early fumble, and four bad plays by King hurt us a lot today. Might have had a shot if we didn't get off to such a bad start.

Clausen certainly has a shot at being our starter. Just look at how poorly Freeman played last year, and his improvement this year.

imagine if our defense had actually stopped them, or the refs hadn't gift-wrapped them some points...

clausen looked like a pro qb but you're going to need to do more than he did to really thrive in this league. for a rookie he did well though.

True, but right now week to week improvement is waht you want to see.

Plus, with the way this OL is playing it is going to be hard to tell exactly how good he is.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
