So let's hear your opinions on next year's coaching choice.

1) Who will be the next head coach of the Carolina Panthers, and why?

I think we will get a no name yes man...status quo.

1) I think we will get a young defensive coordinator like Sean McDermott, purely because of past trends with JR.

2) I hope we go after an offensive minded coach like harbaugh. Somebody that will be innovative. Even if we have a poor team they will come up with new ideas to keep defences guessing, rather than being 1-9 and using the old run, run, pass, punt.

1) Russ Grimm

2) Bill Cowher in my eyes is still a prime possibility, but my gut is telling me its gonna be Grimm. Pittsburgh background, offensive minded coach, more of the aggressive type, has a solid reputation to bring in a good staff around him.

I agree with SuperLego5. I think they'll go with someone young and defensive-minded. JR isn't one to make big changes. They'll go the route they always go. I do think they'll get a young guy who is willing to do everything JR wants. Flat out.

You know where I stand.. cowher is the best choice period.. I don't give a rats ass what the media says.

We will get a no name coach. I am not so sure we will get anyone any better than Fox but we will see. Fox was not given a chance this year. I hope we get a coach who is more aggresive offensively. We do need to not be so conservative.

I'll say Harbaugh SHOULD be...I will hold my opinion on who will be just because I am not sure yet

My opinions at this point...

I think it will be Russ Grimm, based on prior connection to Hurney and his being a product of the Steeler system.

It should be Jim Harbaugh because I believe he'll be a special leader, whereas I'm not really all that sure Grimm will succeed as a head coach.
