Yep. Every time a kicker on another team misses a field goal, he gets cut automatically regardless of whether there's anyone better available or not.

Heck, some teams go through eight, nine, even ten kickers a season.

Why won't our team make impulsive moves with no thought about consequences?

That missed FG was just a metaphor for the Panther season.. get over it, move on.. Kasay has been one of the best kickers in the league for years now..

All he does is kick the football, that's it. That's his only job. Therefore, I feel it's more expected that a place kicker make kicks everytime except for extreme adverse conditions or being out of range.

Having said that, to reiterate what others have said, he isn't the only reason we lost. But his foot had complete control of winning the game and he didn't do it.

I feel people, especially NFL football players, over simplify the kicker's job.. it is a true statement that all they have to do is kick the ball.. but because you have one simple job doesn't mean a human being is going to be perfect every time they touch the ball..

look at his stats, that's as close to perfect as you get.. however, he is going to miss a FG from time to time.. that's how poo turns out sometimes..

i'll buy this. it was a whole team failure. the whole game didn't hinge on one kick. it hinged on one team sucking more than the other. offense can't put up enough points and the defense can't stop them. thats why th panthers lost yesterday.

blaming Kasay is dumb. Carolina's offense again didn't do their job. They asked Kasay to come out 5 times to kick 40 + yard field goals. You ask a kicker to come out 5 times from that distance in a game and he is gonna miss sometimes.

Maybe if Clausen would have done something besides being unproductive the entire game we could have won. People always put too much focus on the very end of the game. All the plays before matter as well.
