Ever been ejected from a sports game?

I mean this in the playing sense. I'm sure many more of you have been ejected from viewing a sporting event as well...but this is for those of us who have been kicked out of a game.

I got ejected from a school basketball game in the 8th grade. We were playing our biggest rivals and the game was tight. I was a bench player but I got a fair amount of playing time. It was early in the 4th quarter and I was guarding their best player (who was just killing us that game) and our coach was throwing everybody at him and seeing who could stick with him. He tried to juke around me with a fake and I caught an elbow right in the face and went down. I popped right back up and got into the face of the guy I was guarding because I thought he elbowed me to get around me. He pushed me away then I threw him to the ground and got ejected. Once I got to the bench...coach told me I got hit in the face by a guy setting a pick and didn't even get the right guy. Wasn't my best moment.

Not since Jr. High. Football bounced off of an opposing players helmet, I ended up with it. I lumbered into the end zone and threw the ball into the stands! Followed by an IMMEDIATE ejection from the ref. Rules state that you "Politely hand the ball to the nearest Referee upon scoring a Touch Down. Failure to do so, will require an immediate ejection from the game."

On top of that we lost the game. I was in the dog house for an entire week!

I got DQ in a amature boxing fight when I was 15, dude hit me with elbow between my head gear busting my lip, I was told by the ref don't retaliate.

I let 2 rounds go by before I got sick of tasting my own blood and rage got the better of me not being very experienced at the time, I didn't know how to throw an elbow and make it look accidental, mine was sloppy and obvious and the ref knew what I was doing, I was DQ.

I played baseball growing up as well as football.

I was the Shortstop/Closer in baseball. Safety/QB in football.

During one of my HS baseball games some kid slid spikes up into second and hyper extended my knee and cut it pretty bad because of the metal spikes. I clearly threatened him that if I were to come into the game to pitch he would be toast, which the umpire had to hear.

Sure enough we are up 1 and I come in to pitch. Guy on deck is guy who spiked me. First guy flies out. The guy comes up and he knows I'm going to hit him. He's standing there with his bat on his shoulder not even attempting to look ready. First pitch? Down the middle strike one. Second Pitch? Down the middle strike two. Now he's ready to hit because he thinks I'm all talk. Third Pitch? Hit him right in the ribcage with a fastball and he dropped. When he got up he was talking sh*t and I wasn't gonna back down. Dugouts cleared but nothing happened other than me telling him I was gonna fug his girl that night. I was then ejected and suspended by our school district for the next game.

(Saw that kid at a party that weekend and a 20 on 20 brawl erupted, he played the next game with two black eyes while I laughed and talked sh*t from the bench)

I got ejected form a football game in HS because I was the personal protector on punts as well as the QB (and Safety) so I took a lot of cheap shots. Guy came in, knocked me on my ass, and my helmet came off so he dropped a knee on me and my eye was swollen shut. I missed a few series but came back later in the game. On another punt they had a return set up and me and two buddies went head hunting for this guy. He knew I was coming after him but didn't look for my buddies. They blindsided him so bad he went flying on his ass and I may or may not have hit him when he was down then stepped on his gut while getting up. Another scuffle ensued and I was tossed as was he. No suspension this time though.

I hit a game winning 3 pointer in high school against a team that was in the running for state title talks. All of a sudden theres a foul on the opposite end of the court 5 seconds after it sunk. i threw the ball at the refs face. He ejected me even though there was 0 seconds on the clock. FWIW the ball did connect very nicely to his face.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
