1) There are still a few games left in the season

2) Luck hasn't declared yet, Harbaugh is not our head coach

3) Technically, Fox is still the head coach of this team

and

4) Clausen is still the starter

While all four of those things could change, until its official, its not set in stone. I know I may sound like Mr. Obvious here but I am seeing so many threads on one guy that we may not even draft or may not even declare. On top of the fact that Fox is still under contract, its not 100% final that he will be gone until there is official word.

I think a lot of people want to believe that we are suffering through this season to get Peyton Manning. I will let them cling to that pipe dream as long as they want.

Yeah, I agree with you. I'm not that impressed with A Luck. I watched his highlights and all I seen him do is complete short passes and make passes to very wide open receviers. I haven't really seen him make any thread the needle type throws.

Yeah, I've watched him and seen some great things, but I don't understand this "best prospect to come out in ten years" stuff. He just looks like a pretty promising prospect. But I hope I'm wrong, and I am certainly not going to knock a Panthers fan for thinking that or getting excited about it. If you can get excited about anything when the team is 1-11, God bless you ,and I love you with all of my heart.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
