Smith wanted Clausen to apologize to the guys in the huddle

Tell Smitty he doesnt know what he's talking about. Clausen was a highly rated QB from a "pro style" system, its not his fault. If Smitty would quit running so far downfield or curl his routes into the stands, Clausen would pass to him.

Yeah, I guess Gettis knows more than Smitty now too for his, "people that blame it on Clausen don't know football."

Nice try Gettis.

Smitty's been trying to keep his mouth shut and deal with this stupidity all year... Grit his teeth and bear it...

Well, he's had enough with this Silverspoons, Rick Schroeder, mini-choo choo riding to open the credits, troll looking, no QBing motherf**ker. And so have I.

:yesnod:

I know, how dare Smith not be able to stop running toward his right at full speed, spin around left on a dime, and make a miraculous grab on a pass that was 3 yards behind him.(5 yard pass at that)

You are right though, if he ran deep outs toward the 3rd row, Smith would be unstoppable with Clausen at the helm.

Today. Watch the game.

I did watch the game, I saw LaFell drop the one towards the sidelines. Didn't see Smit...

Ohhhhh, you must mean that ball that was thrown with little velocity about a yard behind and below his numbers as Smitty was running towards 2 defenders! Oh yeah, that one.

Smith dropped a ball today that hit him right in his hands. Yes the ball was thrown behind him, but Smith should've still been able to catch it. We all know Clausen has been terrible and probably will only be a backup at best after this season, but Smith has no room to talk after dropping and fumbling balls this season.

How often do ANY WRs come up with that kind of ball. It'd be one thing if it was just behind him, but it was below his waist as well. He was also running towards 2 defenders waiting for him IIRC. Most guys trying aren't going to catch that.

If I was Smitty I would've batted that poo down anyway.

The Clausen apologists are referring to that exact horrendous throw you are referring to.

Buh, buh, buhhhh, but... He's still just a rookie!!!

I can't believe there are any left, it's honestly amazing.

I'm just waiting for the team to sign Moore for next year so I can go perfect on my predictions/insight into this team.

I have literally been laughed at for each one and they have all come true.

My first post when Clausen was drafted was that he would bring this team more embarrassment than production, that prediction started my undefeated streak.

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
