Clausen is not the reason carolina is losing games, he may be one of them, but by far the sole reason. The defense has been shredded as of late. The last 3 games against Atlanta, Seattle, and Cleveland, all 3 teams had a running back score 3TD's. WTF.

Do you expect a defense to somehow play good when they're on the field the entire game due to a completely inept offense led by a quarterback who has no business starting in the NFL? They're probably dead tired by the end of the 1st quarter alone.

THE reason doesn't exist. There are many factors that contribute to the success and failure of a team. Clausen's ineptitude is however the single largest contributing factor to the team's inability to win games followed closely by the piss poor teamwork and blocking of the OL. Our OC is also a serious factor here and actually could be more of the reason we suck than Clausen but for the purposes of this discussion I would prefer to focus my own opinion on the people on the field rather than the coaches (read: Jeff Davidson) who I have been railing against since week one.

Don't be shocked if Luck comes out, we trade down for a DT or CB, and Clausen starts next year because the FO is still high on him. They can always say "well we had no plans of playing him this year but we had no other choice and he wasn't ready. Give him some time."

Not saying it's right but it is a plausible thing given our FO's "Jake 1 TD 5 INT...resign him...Fox: lame duck, ready to leave...keep him another year" mindset.

And if Luck doesn't come out? Nobody wants the top pick. We wasted a year for Patrick Peterson to replace Marshall, Clausen starts next year and we go 0-16 or 1-15.

Dead tired in the 1st quarter? These are paid professionals that get paid to do a job. Their play has nothing to do with Clausen. The defense cant stop the run, period. Turner burned us last year too. The middle of our defense has been suspect for a few years now and we have had plenty of different qb's for you to blame their poor performance on. Ask Beason if he thinks Clausen is the reason the panthers have allowed 17 rushing TD's this year. 2nd to the Denver Broncos with 19.
