So, it has apparently taken me this long to realize that I have this problem...

Why not?

Not like they could catch you.

I'm talking about those old guys in the gym that used to freak me out as a young buck.

They grunt, groan, sweat and turn all red but still manage to stack plates like a mutherfuger.

I'm actually not one of those guys since my lifting consists of high reps with the Bowflex these days....but the memories of those oldsters makes me laugh.

Well, after some thought, my plan of action involves ridding the house of the bad stuff by the year's end...

I won't waste anything by just throwing it out, but it will be eaten in moderation... Instead of eating away at a bag of candy after dinner every night, it is being moved from the couch to the pantry, and I'll have maybe one piece a day, if that... Instead of buying breakfast and lunch on the road/at work, I'll be packing my own (with smaller portions and better stuff)...

No more fast food for a long time... The next time we go to a sit-down restaurant, I'm going to try to actually eat a salad for the first time ever... That has always been hard because of my allergies to nuts and eggs, but I can be a big boy and inform the server about those...

Soda consumption (it has really only been Coke Zero for a long long time now) will be cut down to almost nothing, with the intent on being off the caffeine fix before the new year...

I'm gonna clean up our upstairs gym-turned-storage room and put together a weight machine I've had sitting around in pieces for a long time... I want to be back to walking/running 2-3 miles a day at least by the new year, and doing some more cardio stuff, aerobics, and using the weight machine to target certain areas that need some work...

I want to play basketball, but am too much of an introvert to go to the Y and fire up a game with strangers, so I'll be looking into other options for that too...

The biggest obstacle is going to be making the mental changes necessary for it all to work, but if I truly want to do it, I can make those too...

Jeebus you are a mess. I didn't even eat like that when I weighed 325 pounds a year ago. My weight was from good food just too much of it.

When you go into a grocery store shop only on the edges. Thats where they have the fresh meats, cheeses, veggies, fruits. You'll know what goes into you food thus control your caloric intake.

I've dropped 40+ pounds in the last year and still eat what I want...just less. If you go to a chinese buffet just eat the non fried foods like chicken and broccoli :)

You don't need a diet. You need a total lifestyle change.
