Never seen snow on xmas, but I did get slammed with snow the day after new years in 2007 when I had to go to Denver CO. They got like 23" of snow that day. Fun stuff.

Those forecasts are based on older models.

The Weather Channel (boo) is still calling for a high of 52 on saturday when the NWS is calling for 33

Canadian and euro models looking good for lots of snow. GFS for now isn't.

Depending on two different systems (one in the north, one in south) sort of moving together.

If that doesn't happen, it could miss us entirely.

I give it a 60% chance for a decent snow. Otherwise we'll get a little rain and a maybe little snow and that's it.

Again, if it the models keep showing this on thursday and the GFS synchs up, getcha bread and milk ready.

The models have made a nice little comeback... wasn't looking so good over the weekend.

If they're still looking like this still on thursday I may do a little happy dance... my daughter's first christmas could be a white one? Very special.

My daughter was born just a bit over 5 years ago on an evening of a blizzard in which a kid from Indiana visiting the city got killed by a jet skidding off the runway at Midway airport.

I could watch that clip on CNN over and over again or Scrooged looped on TNT.

I get to try travelling to DC on Xmas eve, looks like an adventure on both ends of the trip at this point.
