J-Stew did stiff arm Farrior pretty good on that first drive, but since the highlight reels on Sportscenter won't show that because the Panthers are sorry, it might as well not have happened.

stewart's 71 yards is the second highest total any back has put up against the steelers' defense this season.

the run game was there...it just wasn't pretty.

Panthers ran the ball well before they fell behind. Your giving the steelers defense too much credit. If we had a decent QB, this had potential to be a much different ball game. Panthers circa 2008 i think win this game by 10.

The Steelers have the number one rushing defense in the league. They are averaging allowing less than 70 ypg. TP might be a big part of that, but he certainly isn't the only reason they are that good. But we averaged nearly 4 ypc against a team that was only allowing 3 ypc. The running game was effective last night, especially considering how bad the passing attack was. We just got to far behind to utilize it much.

Our rushing attack smothered underneath the lack of teh Jimmay to be able to hit the broad side of a barn with the pigskin.

It seems to me parts of his game are completely regressing from game to game.

QB play does make a difference along with false starts and poor play in general.

Get a good QB in there and everyone looks better.
