Harbaugh to Miami: 99% Done

Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News reports that "indications are" Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh will accept Miami's record-setting contract offer and become the Dolphins' next head coach.

Kawakami acknowledges that it's "not a done deal," but Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is reportedly willing to continue to increase his already monster offer if the 49ers improve theirs. It's clearly come down to a matter of money, and Ross is willing to pony up more. The Niners have reportedly halted negotiations with Harbaugh since offering him $5 million annually. Ross' standing offer is at $7-8 million, and may eventually exceed that. Jan. 6 - 12:32 pm et

Kinda low class to do all of this will you STILL have a Head Coach in place. Now they have to interview a minority candidate to satisfy the rooney rule. and if it were me, I wouldn't take the interview

Oh wow, wouldn't that be hilarious!
