Trade for Orton, Draft Greene. I feel like a broken record..

Who is Greene?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=379205

Summerville, SC

3 years at college

Buisness Degree

210 lbs.

6'4

Speed, Hands, Size, Route Running I am not too sure on the blocking ability but no matter, he is huge compared to most players out there. The NFL will also bulk him up with more lean muscle. QB really just needs to throw it up to him.

I don't see how a team can pass Green up. Yes, WRs aren't generally #1 pick material, but Green is. IMO it would be much easier to sure up our defense in FA, than to go get a WR of Green's talent---whether by draft or FA. And, like it or not, there are probably a few veteran QBs who we could target to help Pickles out, even if that means giving Pickles a couple of years on the sidelines to learn how to be a QB the right way (or give us the room to trade him, and gamble on someone else at a later point).

I am perhaps a tad more optimistic about Gettis and LaFell though, but would love to see Smith back (and can't wait to see AE get consistent play in the slot, if it comes down to it).

I am just thinking that perhaps the Patriots and Smitty would be a good marriage. But they probably wouldn't give us anything higher than a third---a two if we are lucky. Perhaps we should give old Al a call and see if we can work out something involving Gradkowski and Smitty, but now I am just bantering.

Suffice it to say that it's not smart to let Green slip through your hands!

If someone compares Dewayne Jarrett to AJ Green it is clear that you do not watch any player posted about but care to share your lame comparison.

If you were told we could Have Calvin Johnson for the no.1 pick you would not want that? No guarantees but if hes close..even Shaun Hill looks good throwing to megatron.

Shaun hill comparison is valid, and I know our FO will consider all things. Without Andrew Luck, they need to ensure that our QB has as many weapons around him as possible. Think about his

Green, Smith (i think drafting Green could entice him to stay...), Gettis, Lafell, TE (whoever it is). Williams, Stew, and Goody in the backfield.

If Clausen can't do anything with those weapons, then he should be cut.

My only problem with drafting Green is that Gettis and LaFell look to be very promising players. We haven't even seen what AE is capable of. Smith is Smith and I'm not buying that he is not #1 material anymore. Green would give us the best WR core in the league. However he makes AE expendable, some say he makes Smitty expendable. It also buries a guy like LaFell on the depth chart, only for us to lose him down the road and be a success.

Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead. I've just got a good feeling about Gettis and LaFell.

Green could work. I'm not so sure how Hurney would feel about drafting him 1 overall because he picked Gettis and Lafell last year, but his talent is undeniable. I really think picking him will have to do with Steve Smith and what happens with him. If we trade him pre-draft, then I see us taking Green.

Also, if Smitty stayed and we drafted Green that would be a sick Receiving group. 4 WR sets? amen
