Ron Rivera now reportedly the leading candidate for the HC job

I'm anxious to see Newton play on the big stage Monday. If he lights it up I believe I will be right there with you. I'm ready for some excitement from this team on Sundays.

He is just better on the big stage, I expect him to light Oregon up. I don't expect us to draft him so I'm not getting my hopes up too high right now, I just pray JR will see how talented he is by April and take him.

I actually wouldn't mind if he brought a "mean" reputation around the league too. Obviously I don't want him raping or dog fighting, lol, but someone who has that reputation and everyone hates. We need a guy like that. He would also bring people into the stadium and hopefully prevent blackouts next year.

a big part of being a HC is communication so if he cant even do a good interview it makes me wonder about him as a HC.

Most of thoses were just token interviews because he is a Minority. We are giving him a real interview and a real chance. Just like the Giants DC.

eh. He had something close to a dozen interviews before this one. Many of them were not just Rooney Rule interviews.

He's not the best interviewer but maybe he finally got it right. Doesn't mean he isn't a good communicator.

You've gotta think, drawing from your own personal experience...

Being that I worked from the time I was 15, you do gain experience and improve at interviews the more you do. I gotta think that was part of it. Some guys aren't naturally good communicators, but can grow into that...

If he is the guy they want to hire how long do yall think it would take for us to sign him?

Depends on who else they want to interview. Also I havent seen Riveria on anyone elses radar so we might be able to take our time. Still seems like they want to interview a coach that is in the playoffs.

Rivera-HC

McDaniels-OC

Singletary-DC

Would be amazing. Get a good QB coach then draft Newton...then I really think we would be an annual playoff contender. Too bad we're stuck in the best division in football.

Josh McDaniels single handedly destroyed the Denver Broncos. Gone are Braylon Edwards and Jay Cutler.

His last 26 games with the Broncos they went 6-20. Now their future hinges on The Golden Calf of Bristol.

The 9 years before McDaniles arrived they won 85 games.

For the life of me I don't get the McDaniels ball hugging.

Just say no to the idiot boy McDaniels.
