Fox's next job

From what I read around the league John Fox is most likely the next candidate for the Denver Broncos HC job.

Listening to the Bronco fans talking on their forum, they are really looking forward to John Fox. I do not understand the league or the fans beleif that Fox is a great coach.

I even read where one guy said "I hope he brings his staff with him!" what???

Can anyone explain how this delusion has been brought about? Yes I understand we went to a superbowl. And yes, we accomplished 3 winning seasons in 9 years. But, I believe Fox and co are proven to not be a winning group.

Other than drug use, I can not fathom where this delusion comes from. Anyone want to shed some light on that or predict his W-L record next year with Denver?

i've said this before. Fox will have great success wherever he goes as head coach.

...for about 4 or 5 seasons.

He'll come in, make them a tough, disciplined, "back to fundamentals" team and they'll have success and winning records during that time.

Then, he'll start to lose the team. Fundamentals only get you so far, then the lack of creativity will kick in and the rest of the teams in the division will catch on and pass him by. Then he'll be let go again.

Fox is a stable coach and seems like a solid choice for the Broncos, considering the past 2 years in Denver. I expect he and The Golden Calf of Bristol will be a fit too.

exactly. it got on our nerves, but the Broncos could use a heavy dose of "it is what it is" after all the crazy they've had going on for a few years.

    • Yea something has to shake with Wharton. We signed this guy to a 3 year 45 million dollar contract, 30 mil of which is fully guaranteed.  This may end up being Dan's biggest misfire. And from what I've seen so far ...any Evero input on personnel (except safeties)should quickly be disregarded as well, especially draft input.  I think we're mid league w/ 2026 salary cap numbers but our trajectory could attract more/better FA's this offseason.
    • Mighty SEC currently sitting at 2-6 in bowls but seriously, we all know that any old SEC also ran would just hold court in every other conference. That's what the nut huggers want you to believe anyway.
    • If you go back and read the articles, and watch the clips, the NFL "experts", ESPN, the other accredited draft "experts" Bucky Brooks, Daniel Jeremiah, etc. The vast majority of them had Bryce over Stroud. I wanna say Pete Prisco at CBS, and the guy that wears glasses also with CBS (the white guy, not the bald guy) were adamant that Bryce was not going to be a franchise QB.
