Fox's next job

From what I read around the league John Fox is most likely the next candidate for the Denver Broncos HC job.

Listening to the Bronco fans talking on their forum, they are really looking forward to John Fox. I do not understand the league or the fans beleif that Fox is a great coach.

I even read where one guy said "I hope he brings his staff with him!" what???

Can anyone explain how this delusion has been brought about? Yes I understand we went to a superbowl. And yes, we accomplished 3 winning seasons in 9 years. But, I believe Fox and co are proven to not be a winning group.

Other than drug use, I can not fathom where this delusion comes from. Anyone want to shed some light on that or predict his W-L record next year with Denver?

i've said this before. Fox will have great success wherever he goes as head coach.

...for about 4 or 5 seasons.

He'll come in, make them a tough, disciplined, "back to fundamentals" team and they'll have success and winning records during that time.

Then, he'll start to lose the team. Fundamentals only get you so far, then the lack of creativity will kick in and the rest of the teams in the division will catch on and pass him by. Then he'll be let go again.

Fox is a stable coach and seems like a solid choice for the Broncos, considering the past 2 years in Denver. I expect he and The Golden Calf of Bristol will be a fit too.

exactly. it got on our nerves, but the Broncos could use a heavy dose of "it is what it is" after all the crazy they've had going on for a few years.

    • yeah, Panther PR has done the Tepper is taking a backseat PR tour before.   It wasn't true at all the first time we saw them attempt that.   All the stuff you are referencing is stuff produced and put out by the Panthers.  I'm not acting like owners aren't in the war room.   I'm just saying Tepper is a proven commodity.  He is what he is.  And his tenure with BOTH his professional sports teams tell the exact same story about him.   He is not patient.  He didn't show patience last year.  He moved on from an absurd investment 2 games into the season.....and a frankly unimaginable turnaround by Bryce that was only allowed by injury reset some things.  I'm sure a billion times Raiders or Dallas or whatever fans convinced themselves their owners turned a new leaf too.  I'm not buying that.  There just isn't anything supporting Tepper isn't Tepper IMO.
    • Well last year the first team offense struggled against the Bills 3rd string defense. First string offense needed to convert a 4th down to score a TD.  If the starters play against backups and do what they are supposed to do, score easily, I’d say the reps are worth it. Would make me feel better. Unlike last preseason.
    • This right here. You also don’t want your 2 nd string oline going against their starting Dline and risk injury to whoever is taking snaps
